Exit and Succession Planning  –  Long Term Approach

Successful exit planning is a journey with many potential avenues and  as such, requires proactive investments in advance of any strategic  transactions.

Working closely with shareholders to first understand personal  objectives, then create financial models to evaluate various options for  both management and ownership succession.

Jim Lancefield, Managing Director

Jim was the key adviser to the company founder of a dynamic contract  manufacturing and advanced warehousing solutions provider with a NAFTA  wide footprint.  As CFO and Director, Corporate Development, he was  instrumental in leading growth from $20 MM to $100 MM in revenue,  foreign exchange hedging, structuring new business opportunities, exit  of unattractive contracts and the turnaround of poor performing units.    He developed a multi-year strategic plan, created a confidential  information memorandum and drove the M&A process which successfully  resulted in the sale of the business to a strategic buyer.

Following this acquisition, Jim remained with the global public  company where he gained valuable insight into acquisition integration,  internal controls, business intelligence systems, performance and change  management.

Previously while at BDC, Jim gained over 7 years mezzanine lending  experience focused on building relationships with mid market companies  in a variety of industries and structuring financing for a range of  scenarios.
